JarDan Ramon · Founder & Executive Director

Eight12 Run Club was founded by Evansville native, wellness advocate, and entrepreneur JarDan Ramon with one simple goal: to create a healthier and more connected community through movement. What started as a free community run in October 2025 with just 27 participants quickly grew into a movement that now welcomes dozens of runners and walkers from all backgrounds each week.

The Why

Why JarDan Ramon started Eight12 Run Club.

JarDan created Eight12 as a judgment-free environment where people could improve both their physical and mental well-being while building real community. Every run is designed to be inclusive and welcoming, with multiple pace options, warm-ups, community support, and encouragement for participants to stay connected beyond the miles. What makes Eight12 unique is its focus on creating spaces where people feel supported, seen, and motivated no matter their fitness level or life experience.

As the organization continues to grow, JarDan's vision extends far beyond running. Through youth wellness initiatives, community partnerships, mentorship, and accessible wellness programming, Eight12 aims to create long-term impact throughout Evansville and beyond.

"I want it to be a foundation that helps create access, opportunity, and support for people of all backgrounds, especially youth. This is about building a healthier, more connected community."

Our Team

Powered by volunteers.

Every member of our staff is a volunteer, starting with our founder and executive director, JarDan Ramon. We show up because Evansville shows up for us.

Our current staff also includes a Director of Operations, Programs Director, Volunteer Coordinator, Mental Health Coordinator, on-site Nurse and EMT-trained staff, Run Coaches, Walk Pace Coaches, a Cheer Team Lead, and a Women's Walk Collective Lead.

We are a 501(c)(3) style non-profit community. That means every dollar we raise goes back into the club, the people, and the city we love.

We are raising funds to support our staff and launch ongoing youth programs and community give-back events. Last year we hosted a Christmas toy drive in 2025, and this year we are working toward a back-to-school giveaway and more ways to invest in the next generation of Evansville.
